Indictment Confirmed for Jewelry Store Robbery in Sarači

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office against Damir Šišaković, Almir Mehović and Emir Šenderović.

Šišaković and Mehović are charged with the criminal offense of robbery, while Šišaković is also charged with the criminal offense of possession and enabling the use of narcotic drugs. Šenderović is charged with the criminal offense of aiding the perpetrator after the commission of a criminal offense.

The accused Damir Šišaković and Almir Mehović are alleged to have committed a robbery at a jewelry store in Sarači Street on December 4, 2024, at around 6:25 PM. They threatened an employee with a gun and then forced her to take money from the safe. In addition to 11,000 KM, they also took gold jewelry worth 180,000 KM and fled.

One hour after committing the robbery, Šenderović was waiting for them in the apartment they were using, with whom they divided the jewelry and arranged its sale in order to conceal the evidence. Šenderović was arrested with the jewelry in Bijeljina, where he planned to sell it.

The prosecutor handling the case proposed to the court that the detention of the accused Šišaković and Šenderović be extended. For the main trial, the hearing of six witnesses, three forensic experts, and the presentation of approximately 120 pieces of material evidence have been proposed.
