Indictment confirmed against three MUP KS officials for abuse of position and accepting bribes

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the KS Prosecutor's Office against MUP KS officials Mehmed Keško, Halid Mujkić, and Amer Šačić, for the criminal offenses of abuse of position or authority, as well as accepting a gift or other form of benefit for trading influence.

The accused are charged with failing to record actual traffic violations and issuing violation tickets with lower fines than the actual ones during their work duties on the streets of KS between August 10 and 30, 2022, thereby benefiting traffic participants known to them.

The acting prosecutor proposed a three-year ban on the accused performing their duties as police officers from the date the verdict becomes final.

For the main trial, it is proposed to hear 13 witnesses, mechanical engineering experts, and mobile phone experts, as well as to present about 120 material evidence items, the KS Prosecutor's Office announced.
