(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office against Mirza Duran for the criminal offense of murder in a cruel manner, due to the killing of a 60-year-old woman in Ciglane.
Duran is charged with entering the apartment of the 60-year-old woman in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Ciglane on August 18 and 19, 2024, initially hitting her with his fists on the body, strangling her with his hands, then striking her with two kitchen knives, causing her intense pain and suffering, after which he killed her.
The prosecuting attorney proposed to the court the extension of custody for Mirza Duran. For the main trial, the hearing of 14 witnesses, seven expert witnesses, and the presentation of more than 80 pieces of material evidence have been proposed.
