Indictment confirmed against Goran and Leđiba Ravlić for the murder of a 38-year-old woman, and Jašarević for concealing the crime

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo against Goran Ravlić, Leđiba Ravlić, and Latif Jašarević.

The son and mother are accused of the criminal offense of murder in a cruel and insidious manner, while Jašarević is accused of the criminal offenses of aiding the perpetrator after the commission of a criminal offense and failure to report a murder.

Goran and Leđiba Ravlić are charged with mentally and physically abusing Goran's wife from mid-May to June 28, 2024, in an apartment in the Pofalići neighborhood of Sarajevo, and ultimately killing her. The accused are charged with initially denying the 38-year-old woman any form of communication with the outside world, destroying her mobile phone, and forbidding her from leaving the apartment. They then starved her, cut her hair, pulled it out, and tied her hands to prevent her from resisting. They sexually abused her and inflicted more than 100 injuries, including bites, burns, fractures, and injuries to her genital area. She died from the inflicted injuries.

They kept the victim's body in the apartment for days. To conceal the unpleasant odors and the murder, they used various air fresheners and scented candles. During those few days, they contacted Jašarević, who agreed to help them cover up the traces. On the orders of Leđiba Ravlić, the accused Goran and Latif repeatedly purchased an axe, a saw, a set of knives, several plastic containers that maintain appropriate temperature, ammonia cartridges for portable refrigerators, a meat grinder, several rolls of adhesive tape, garbage bags, plastic gloves, plastic suits, protective masks, and several disinfectants and cleaning agents at shopping malls, in order to dispose of the body and conceal the crime.

An extension of custody has been proposed for the accused Goran and Leđiba Ravlić, and for the main trial, the hearing of 12 witnesses, 13 experts, and the presentation of more than 100 material evidence are planned.
