Indictment confirmed against Dženana Jahić, who killed her husband in Alipašino Polje

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office against Dženana Jahić for the unlawful act of murder in a cruel manner while in a state of insanity.

She is accused of, on September 11, 2024, around 3:25 AM, in an apartment in the Alipašino Polje settlement in Sarajevo, approaching her husband who was sleeping on a corner sofa in the living room and, while in a state of insanity, stabbing him multiple times with a knife in the neck, chest, and arms, after which the victim died.

The prosecutor proposed extending the detention of the accused or, alternatively, temporarily placing her in compulsory treatment at a health facility.

For the main trial, the court was proposed to hear five witnesses, four experts, and present more than 50 material pieces of evidence.
