Indictment confirmed against Džafić for tax evasion

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Municipal Court Kalesija confirmed the indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton against Senad Džafić (41) from Kalesija due to the existence of a founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of tax evasion.

The indictment charges Džafić with, in May 2012, as the director and founder of the company "Woodmagnat" d.o.o Kalesija, being aware that he did not report and provide data on acquired taxable income to the competent tax authority, misappropriated money from the company's cash register which thus took on the character of income from non-independent activity, and contrary to the provisions of the Law on Income Tax of FBiH and the Law on Contributions of FBiH, failed to pay income tax and related contributions, thus evading tax in the amount of approximately 100,000 KM, announced the Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton.

The indictment proposed to the competent court that, after the verdict becomes final, the property benefit acquired through the criminal offense in the aforementioned amount be confiscated from the accused.
