Indictment confirmed against Armin Berberović who killed two young doctors with a car at Marijin Dvor

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment filed on November 14 by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office (KS) against Armin Berberović, accusing him of serious criminal offenses against public traffic safety in connection with endangering public traffic.

At the end of May, Berberović caused a traffic accident that resulted in the death of two people and injuries to another.

Let us remind you, he hit three pedestrians at a crosswalk in the Marijin Dvor settlement in Sarajevo, killing one of them on the spot - young doctor Azra Spahić, and seriously injuring her friend Alma Suljić, who died after almost a month of fighting for her life.

Their third friend, identified by initials E.S., sustained minor injuries.

The investigation established that Berberović was driving without a driver's license and under the influence of alcohol.

"Berberović is accused of endangering public traffic as a participant in road traffic, by not adhering to traffic regulations, thereby endangering people's lives, which resulted in the death of two people, while one person sustained minor bodily injuries," the KS Prosecutor's Office announced.

Berberović was arrested the same evening and has been in custody ever since. Along with the indictment, the Prosecutor's Office submitted a motion to extend his custody, which the Court will decide on later.
