Contracts Signed for Regular Roadway Maintenance in Centar

The Mayor of Centar Municipality Dževad Bećirević and the directors of construction companies "Grakop" and "Bosman", Šukrija Melezović and Sunija Jahić, signed contracts for regular inspection of local and uncategorized roads in the Centar municipality. The value of these contracts is almost 71,000 KM, and the funds were provided by the Centar Municipality, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports the Patria News Agency.

The construction company "Grakop" from Kiseljak is responsible for regular patrols in the areas of local communities: "Betanija-Šip", "Ciglane-Gorica", "Donji Velešići", "Koševsko brdo", "Marijin dvor-Crni vrh", "Pionirska dolina-Nahorevo", and "Soukbunar", while the construction company "Bosman" will patrol the areas of local communities: "Bardakčije", "Breka-Koševo II", "Džidžikovac-Koševo I", "Hrastovi-Mrkovići", "Mejtaš-Bjelave", "Park-Višnjik", "Skenderija-Podtekija", and "Trg oslobođenja-Centar".

According to the provisions of the signed contracts, the contractors undertake to, during regular patrols in their designated areas, determine the condition of the roadways and signage, and remove any deficiencies on the road to ensure smooth traffic flow: cleaning, repair, and replacement of stolen or destroyed traffic signs, markings, and direction signs; removal of minor rockfalls or soil slides, or other spilled material from the road; removal of oil stains from the pavement; filling of minor asphalt damage; placement of traffic signage with warning signs for drivers about dangers or road damage that cannot be immediately repaired, such as larger rockfalls and landslides, sinkholes, damage to roadside structures, danger from destroyed and abandoned vehicles...

The patrol service is also obliged to record illegal activities on or along the road, access points, excavations...

In this year's budget of the Centar Municipality, 1,630,000 KM has been allocated for the construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and regular maintenance of local roads, and 910,000 KM for uncategorized roads, according to the announcement.
