SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Basic Prosecution in Pristina, Department for Juveniles, announced that, in coordination with the Kosovo Police, six persons have been apprehended and, by order of the state prosecutor, detained for 48 hours.
The six apprehended are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of human trafficking, forcing a victim to provide sexual services, and rape, reports the portal kosovo-online.
"We assure the public that for both criminal cases involving a minor victim, the prosecution, in coordination with other competent institutions, has professionally and responsibly undertaken all necessary investigative actions and continues to undertake further investigative actions," the press release stated.
Furthermore, seven mobile phones were seized, which constitute evidence to be used in the criminal proceedings.
Last week, it was reported that an 11-year-old girl was raped by five individuals. The suspects were arrested by the police and detained.
Her disappearance was reported in June, and it was revealed that she was a victim of human trafficking.
