Employers appealed to delegates: Will there be support today for postponing the VAT payment deadline?

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After more than three months, the House of Peoples of the BiH PA will hold a session today to consider the Proposal for a Law Amending the Value Added Tax Law as an urgent procedure, which has already been adopted by the House of Representatives of the BiH PA. The Association of Employers of FBiH called on the delegates of the House of Peoples on Wednesday to support the amendments, which primarily relate to postponing the VAT payment deadline from the 10th to the 30th of the month, which would further ease their burden during the crisis, when they are having difficulties collecting their services and issued invoices. 

Also on the agenda are numerous reports from state institutions for 2017, 2018, and information from certain institutions for 2019. Delegates will also vote on the information on the work of the BiH Prosecutor's Office for 2017 and 2018. 

Delegates will also consider several agreements on the ratification of certain projects with loans from international institutions. 

A few days before this session, the president of SNSD, Milorad Dodik, announced a kind of blockade of the House's work and stated that SNSD delegates would support "two or three points". Given the majority that HDZ BiH and SNSD have in the Club of Croats and the Club of Serbs, a joint blockade of this House can be expected, i.e., the non-adoption of necessary decisions.
