SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the area of Ilidža municipality, in Blažuj local community, the construction of the last part of the Sarajevo bypass, sub-section LOT-3B, as an integral part of Corridor 5C, will soon begin. The construction of this road will enable better traffic connectivity of the highway on Corridor 5C with the network of lower-rank roads, main and local roads. The value of the contract is 23,283,000 KM with VAT.

The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, the Director of JP Autoceste of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adnan Terzić, and the contractor Euro-Asfalt d.o.o., Hamed Ramić, today officially marked the beginning of the construction of this important
road.

Hamed Ramić, Director of Euro-Asfalt, stated that the section is 1,800 meters long.

“This is a highway with four traffic lanes and two viaducts. The road passes through a settlement and will be enclosed along its entire route with noise barriers to prevent citizens from experiencing noise problems. If the municipality and utility owners cooperate with us and resolve issues quickly, we will complete this section within this construction season, by the end of November,” said Ramić.

Nermin Muzur, Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, stated that this is an important project.

“I am pleased that such projects will take place in Ilidža Municipality and speed up communication with Corridor 5C, and this is very important for the residents of Blažuj, especially when it comes to the industrial zone. With the completion of the works, access will be facilitated, especially for travelers coming from the direction of Kiseljak and other parts. The Municipality will complete everything within its jurisdiction and in accordance with laws and regulations as quickly as possible,” emphasized Muzur.

Adnan Terzić, Director of JP Autoceste FBiH, stated that after three years of attempts, they managed to award this contract.

“We have finally selected the contractor, signed the contract, and I do not expect any problems regarding deadlines and quality,” said Terzić.
