Family quarrel in Prnjavor: Man stabs brother to death

(Patria) - A horrific crime shook Prnjavor on Saturday when A.D. killed his brother M.D. with a kitchen knife.

The crime occurred around 3 PM in the Babanovac settlement near Prnjavor.

Allegedly, a quarrel between the brothers preceded the incident, which escalated into a physical altercation during which A.D. grabbed a knife and stabbed his brother M.D. multiple times. Initial investigation results indicate seven stab wounds.

– A.D. has been arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of aggravated murder – stated the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka.

An investigation at the crime scene was conducted by the duty prosecutor and police officers, while the suspect A.D. was taken for further criminal processing.

– The prosecutor ordered all investigative measures and actions to be taken to establish all circumstances of the crime, and an autopsy of the deceased's body has been ordered, which will be performed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Republika Srpska – stated the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka.
