Karić family from Srebrenica lost their home in a fire, needs assistance

The Karić family from the Srebrenica village of Karačići lost their prefabricated house in a fire on December 30, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

They originally received this house from the BHB organization, and although they have temporarily moved in with a neighbor, they lack basic conditions for a normal life.

Although the fire was extinguished, there is no longer any life in the prefabricated house.

- My son was not home, so I don't know what could have caused the fire, whether it was electricity or the stove, because it's a wooden house. We managed to save some things and extinguish it, but it's no longer usable, one cannot live there anymore. The downstairs room burned down completely. The electrical installations, furniture, everything is destroyed. We sustained minor burns while extinguishing the fire, but thank God everything ended well as there were no serious injuries – says Nedžib Karić, adding that he has temporarily housed his son Mirnes and his family with a neighbor.

The First March Coalition will launch a fundraising campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as among the diaspora, to help this family as soon as possible.
