Taxpayers in FBiH Paid 2,406,315,587 KM in Direct Taxes and Contributions in Half a Year

Taxpayers in the Federation of BiH paid 2,406,315,587 KM in direct taxes, contributions, fees, and charges in the first six months of this year. The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH informs the public that total collected revenues in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period January-June 2017, for which the Tax Administration of FBiH is responsible, amount to 2,406,315,587 KM, which is 251,158,294 KM more than in the same period of 2016, or expressed as a percentage, 11.65% more.

In the period January-June 2017 compared to January-June 2016, the total collection of direct taxes increased by 132,307,497 KM, or expressed as a percentage, by 18.60%, as follows:

- Profit tax was collected in the amount of 202,774,461 KM, which is 62.53% or 78,012,696 KM more, of which a growth in the collection of corporate profit tax of 75.03% or 71,847,963 KM was recorded, while the collection of profit tax for banks and other financial institutions increased by 21.25% or 6,164,733 KM;
- Property tax was collected in the amount of 88,210,515 KM, which is 2.61% or 2,244,065 KM more;
- Other taxes were collected in the amount of 748,251 KM, which is 7.48% or 52,079 KM more;
- Income tax was collected in the amount of 198,788,442 KM, which is an increase of 11.89% or 21,119,442 KM;
- Fees and charges were collected in the amount of 211,584,612 KM, which is 11.07% or 21,083,045 KM more.

In the period January-June 2017, contributions for pension and disability insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance were collected in a total amount of 1,561,164,950 KM, which represents an increase of 135,045,842 KM or 9.47% compared to the same period in 2016.

Collected contributions amount to:

contributions for pension and disability insurance 863,400,605 KM;
contributions for health insurance 626,311,270 KM;
contributions for unemployment insurance 71,453,075 KM.

In June 2017, public revenues were collected in the amount of 404,762,412 KM, which is 42,668,698 KM more than in June 2016, or expressed as a percentage, 11.78% more.

The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH calls on all workers working illegally to report this to the Tax Administration. The Tax Administration will consider all reports seriously and thoroughly and act upon them in accordance with the law, its competencies, and available capacities, and will take all measures at its disposal to ensure that employers register their workers.
