Tax Administration invites undeclared workers to report to the inspection

(Patria) - Inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, during an inspection on July 19, 2019, in the areas of Livno, Tomislavgrad, Tuzla, Srebrenik, Kalesija, Gradačac, Gračanica, Doboj Istok, Živinice, Kladanj, Lukavac, Sapna, Banovići, Vitez, Travnik, Fojnica, Novi Travnik, Bugojno and Kiseljak, conducted 109 controls.

In these controls, inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH discovered 16 undeclared workers, 22 taxpayers who failed to register turnover, and 4 facilities operating without the approval of the competent authority. 

Due to the identified irregularities: employment of undeclared workers, operating without the approval of competent authorities, and failure to register turnover through fiscal devices, 11 facilities were sealed, and in 43 cases, misdemeanor orders were issued with a total of KM 109,500.00 in fines.

The Tax Administration will continue to carry out activities to control the legality of taxpayers' business operations and prevent the grey economy, and invites taxpayers with identified irregularities to align their operations and comply with the laws. 

If irregularities are found again in future controls of these taxpayers, they will be subject to the protective measure of a business ban for a period of 6 months.

“The Tax Administration thanks all taxpayers who duly fulfill their tax obligations and invites all taxpayers to fulfill their obligations in a timely manner, to voluntarily report and pay, to report every worker, and to operate in accordance with tax and other valid regulations, as this is the best and safest way to do business. We invite taxpayers to use their money for business improvement, investments, development, for employee salaries, and not to spend hard-earned money on paying fines and interest,” the statement said.

The Tax Administration will assist in every way taxpayers who show a willingness to fulfill their tax obligations and will demonstrate determination to take all measures against those who wish to avoid their obligations, thereby directing them towards legal conduct.

“The Tax Administration wants to be a partner to taxpayers and build transparent relationships based on valid laws. The Tax Administration invites all undeclared workers to report to the Tax Administration. Only in this way will you be able to realize your legally guaranteed rights: the right to healthcare, the right to pension and disability insurance, and other rights that belong to you based on employment,” the Tax Administration added.
