Tax Administration of FBiH: 290 inspections carried out yesterday alone, fines nearly half a million KM

The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH carried out a total of 290 inspections on May 25, 2016, utilizing all available human and technical resources to the maximum. The operation covered 61 municipalities in the Federation of BiH.

During the inspections, inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH discovered 93 unregistered workers, 30 business premises operating without a work permit from the competent authority, and 95 taxpayers who failed to record turnover through fiscal devices.

Due to the identified irregularities, misdemeanor orders were issued with fines totaling 478,100.00 KM. 85 business premises were sealed.

- During these activities, there were several cases of obstructing officials in the performance of their duties, and proceedings were concluded with police assistance. The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH hereby thanks the members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Administration of Mostar, Vogosca, and Stari Grad Sarajevo for their support and assistance in carrying out the inspections.

In line with its jurisdiction and the order of the Government of the Federation of BiH, and in order to prevent the grey economy, the Tax Administration of FBiH has carried out a total of 4,014 inspections from November 2015 to date, resulting in the registration of 1,436 workers who were working illegally. Due to the identified irregularities in these activities, a total of 844 business premises have been sealed and fines amounting to 5.5 million KM have been imposed - it is stated in the press release of the Tax Administration.
