Popular actor Milorad Mandić Manda passed away during a play

Popular Serbian actor Milorad Mandić Manda suddenly passed away today at the age of 56, after feeling unwell on stage during a performance, Serbian media report, as reported by the news agency Patria.

At the premiere of the children's play "Peter Pan" by the "Boško Buha" Theatre, performed at the "Vuk Stefanović Karadžić" Cultural Institution, actor Manda collapsed on stage, and despite the efforts of the Emergency Medical Service to resuscitate him, he passed away shortly thereafter. He turned 55 at the beginning of May.

Milorad Mandić Manda was born in Belgrade on May 3, 1961. He graduated in acting from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in the class of Professor Vladimir Jeftović.

After graduating, he became a member of the Belgrade Children's Theatre "Boško Buha". In 1989, he recorded over 270 episodes of the show "Bajka za laku noć" (Fairytale for a Good Night). From 1989 to 1995, he hosted the children's show "S one strane duge" (On the Other Side of the Rainbow), which, along with Branko Kockica, made him one of the most popular children's actors and entertainers.

From 1995, he hosted the show "Više od igre" (More Than a Game) on RTV Pink. He acted in numerous Serbian films. His most notable role was in Srđan Dragojević's film "Lepa sela lepo gore" (Pretty Villages, Pretty Flames).

He hosted the quiz show "Uzmi ili ostavi" (Take It or Leave It), which was broadcast on B92 television. The time and place of the funeral will be announced later.
