Women in Black premises attacked again: The state of Serbia is responsible

(Patria) - Graffiti supporting convicted war criminal and former commander of the Army of Republika Srpska, Ratko Mladić, have been sprayed again on the entrance door of the premises of the non-governmental organization Women in Black, the organization announced.

As stated in the press release, in addition to support for Mladić, insults to the activists of the organization were also sprayed in red paint.

“This attack represents a continuation of an organized, systematic, continuous campaign of intimidation, calls for lynching and a witch hunt against Women in Black. This is not an incident, but a policy directly backed by the state, given that it has done nothing to find the perpetrators of previous attacks,” the statement said.

The organization emphasized that they believe the state is obliged to protect all individuals, groups and organizations fighting for the protection of human rights.

“We hold the state of Serbia responsible for any possible future attacks,” the Women in Black association stated.

A similar incident occurred at the end of October this year.
