Hundreds of refugees, mostly from the Middle East, boarded a train for Munich at Budapest railway station on Monday, Reuters correspondent reports, adding that Hungarian and Austrian police are checking documents on the train, reports the Patria News Agency.
Refugees, many with families with children, boarded the train peacefully. Sami, a 35-year-old Syrian, showed journalists a 120 euro ticket to Munich.
"For six days, I slept on the ground like a dog with my two sons. Today, God willing, we are leaving this country and joining my sister in Munich," Sami said.
A photo published on Twitter proves that Hungary continues to treat refugees worse than animals. Namely, the country's police forced refugees to kneel while waiting in line for tickets, writes Index.
