Pomozi.ba launches aid collection campaign for Syrian refugees

The association „Pomozi.ba“ from Sarajevo is still implementing the campaign „All of us for 50 thousand of them“. The primary goal of this campaign is to feed 50 thousand people, reports the Patria news agency.

This association ran a similar campaign two years ago, when the goal was 10 thousand people, and that campaign was successfully implemented. Every day, individuals and companies are joining this campaign. One of those companies is „Sunlight lounge“, which a month ago launched a campaign aimed at donating 10% of the total revenue generated from their cosmetic services, solarium and massage services.

Aid has already been distributed to certain public kitchens, institutions for socially disadvantaged families and individuals, safe houses, homes for unaccompanied children, as well as to individuals in need of assistance.

Due to the new situation with Syrian refugees staying in Serbia, the association “Pomozi” has officially joined the campaign to help refugees seeking shelter in other countries, and the funds intended for the project “All of us for 50 thousand of them” from “Sunlight lounge” will be redirected to a fundraising campaign to help Syrian refugees.

- The campaign will be carried out in a planned manner, and in the coming days, Pomozi.ba teams will visit locations in Serbia where aid is most needed to determine what is most necessary at this moment. Also, there is a possibility that a certain number of refugees will arrive on the territory of BiH, and in that case, those refugees become a priority - they say from the association.

All collected funds will be spent on purchasing basic necessities, after the real needs of this category of society are determined on the ground.
