Trial in Dobrovoljačka case postponed: Witness whose surname the Prosecution does not know testifies on November 16

(Patria) - The trial of Ejup Ganić and nine other defendants, whom the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges with an alleged war crime committed on May 3, 1992, in Dobrovoljačka Street, was scheduled to be held tomorrow, November 9.

However, this trial has been postponed to November 16.

Thus, the witness, whose surname the BiH Prosecutor's Office is not certain of, will testify only next week.

Namely, at the last hearing, prosecutor Mladen Vukojičić, while announcing which witnesses he would call to testify, first selected the witness under serial number 22.

Given that the names of witnesses will not be disclosed until the day of testimony, after he uttered this serial number, the defense requested clarification. Vukojičić then promised to inform the defense in a timely manner.

As we learn, the defense reacted because the indictment lists two surnames for the witness under serial number 22, as they are not sure which surname is correct!?

The indictment states that the witness's surname is either this or that!? This is actually yet another piece of evidence that the Court of BiH could not accept the indictment of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, i.e., that Judge Braco Stupar obviously did not even read the indictment!?

Let us recall, the Court of BiH confirmed on May 12 the indictment of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, which charges them with having carried out an attack on a column of former JNA soldiers, which was under UN escort, on May 3, 1992, in Sarajevo.
Despite the position of the Hague Tribunal that the JNA column in Dobrovoljačka was a legitimate military target, the Prosecutor's Office continued the investigation regardless of earlier cases against Ganić and Jovan Divjak, which were dismissed.

Along with the indictment, the hearing of 277 witnesses and several experts was proposed, and more than 500 pieces of material evidence were submitted.

The indictment was written by the current chief prosecutor Milanko Kajganić, and a good part of the indictment is in the Ekavian dialect, indicating the adoption of parts from Serbian institutions.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office in this proceeding is proving that Alija Izetbegović was not a prisoner, and that the column was not a legitimate military target!
