Aided Fugitive Sejfović: Two Arrested in Zenica-Doboj Canton Handed Over to Sarajevo MoI

Four employees of the Sarajevo KPZ - three guards and a medical technician suspected of criminal offenses of enabling the escape of a person deprived of liberty and unlawful release of a person deprived of liberty in the case of Amel Sejfović, who escaped from prison on Sunday, were handed over last night to the jurisdiction of the KS Prosecutor's Office, reports the Patria agency.

After being questioned by the acting prosecutor, further measures will be decided within the legal deadline. Guards Armin Delalić, Nikola Simić, and Muhamed Karić, as well as medical technician Igor Miloš, were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office.

Two individuals arrested in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, who are linked to aiding the fugitive Sejfović, are undergoing criminal processing at the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs, and will be handed over to the KS Prosecutor's Office during the day. As Patria learns, one arrested person is from Vitez, and the other from Zenica.

The search for Sejfović has been ongoing since Sunday when he escaped from the Miljacka KPZ by firing a weapon, with a masked accomplice waiting for him on a motorcycle. Two destroyed mobile phones were found in Sejfović's cell.

Sejfović, along with several other individuals, is accused of robbing a Raiffeisen bank branch in the Sarajevo settlement of Ilidža on November 5, 2015, when cyclist Kemo Bašić was killed in an exchange of fire between the robbers and security. Around 300,000 KM was stolen at the time, but the money has never been found.
