Flowers laid at memorials, 1,600 white balloons distributed for murdered children of Sarajevo

On the occasion of April 6th, Sarajevo City Day, delegations from the Federation of BiH, Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, and Sarajevo municipalities laid flowers at the Eternal Flame memorial today and paid tribute to all fellow citizens who perished during the last aggression against BiH and during World War II, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Delegations also laid wreaths at the Memorial to the Murdered Children of Sarajevo, and the Ferijalni savez Sarajevo marked this day in a special way. They distributed 1,600 white balloons with the names, birth years, and years of death of 1,600 children of Sarajevo written on them to the citizens of Sarajevo. Citizens tied several balloons near the memorial to the murdered children of Sarajevo.

Flowers were also laid at Kovači, the Memorial to Murdered Policemen in Veliki park, at the city cemeteries Lav, Sv. Josip, Sv. Marko, and the Stadion cemetery (Koševo), at the bust of Vladimir Perić Valter, at the "Vraca" Memorial Park, at the Jewish Cemetery, and at the Memorial on ZAVNOBiH Square.

Today, delegations from nine cities in the region and Europe are in Sarajevo, and at 7 PM, a formal session of the City Council will be held, as well as the awarding of the April 6th Award.
