Poland ready to host NATO nuclear weapons

(Patria) - Polish President Andrzej Duda says his country is ready to host nuclear weapons from NATO members, in response to the deployment of Russian nuclear missiles in Belarus.

- If the allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons on our territory as well, to ensure the security of NATO's eastern flank, we are ready - Duda stated.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that potential initiatives should be well-prepared, AP reports.

- Such an idea is very serious. We need to be aware of all the circumstances that led Duda to make such a statement - Tusk added.

The Kremlin said that the response to the deployment of US nuclear weapons in Poland would be steps necessary for Russia's security.
