More than a thousand farmers from Brčko District of BiH organized peaceful protests today, demanding that the authorities pay them subsidies in full for 2014, by April 15th of this year, and to secure funds for 2015 in the amount of 10,000,000 KM, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
Farmers also demanded the dismissal of the Mayor of Brčko District, Anto Domić.

The president of the Farmers' Association from Brčko, Slavko Blažević, said that people are disappointed and dissatisfied.
- I cannot understand that money could not be allocated for farmers, while the budget of Brčko District is 229 million KM. Until now, the story was that the economy was destroyed by the OHR. Now they are gone, and the authorities are still destroying farmers. If our demands are not met, we will take to the streets with our machinery. After the insults and words spoken by Mayor Domić, I would no longer like to talk to him – Blažević warned.
The vice-president of the Farmers' Association of Brčko District of BiH, Milorad Kojić, says that farmers are not asking for anything more than what they had before. That is about four million KM per year.
The Return Association also joined the peaceful protests in Brčko, reports Patria.
