Farmers in Brčko blocked the city center, the Government is adopting a new Rulebook on Subsidies today

The Government of Brčko District of BiH is discussing the Rulebook on Subsidies for agricultural production, which would improve agricultural production in Brčko, but also prevent abuse in this area, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
Meanwhile, farmers have blocked the city center.

In previous years, a large number of irregularities were recorded in Brčko during the allocation of agricultural subsidies. Some farmers received excessive subsidies, even though they do not live in the Brčko area, while genuine small farmers were left without assistance.

Brčko farmers expect that the new rulebook on agriculture in the Brčko area will reduce possible malversations during the allocation of subsidies, writes NAP.
