Farmers who suffered damage do not have to submit proof of product sales for 2017.

The FBiH Government adopted information on agricultural damage caused by snowfall, low temperatures and frost in the Federation of BiH and tasked the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry to amend and supplement the Rulebook on the manner and conditions for achieving financial support through the production incentive model, in the part relating to the obligation to submit proof of product sales in plant production. The amendments and supplements should allow clients whose production is located in areas of municipalities and cities where a state of natural disaster has been declared to be exempted from submitting proof of product sales in 2017, reports Patria News Agency.

Today's conclusions were made after analyzing information from the Association of Farmers of West Herzegovina Canton, the Peasant Union of FBiH and others on the incurred damages, and which requested the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry to suspend the application of the provisions of the Rulebook on the manner and conditions for achieving financial support through the production incentive model for areas that have declared a natural disaster. These are provisions related to the submission of proof of product sales, which is one of the conditions for obtaining financial support.

At the same time, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry emphasizes that municipalities, cantons and the Federation of BiH (civil protection) can, in accordance with the Law on Protection and Rescue of People and Material Goods from Natural and Other Disasters, take the necessary measures and actions within their jurisdiction regarding the declaration of a natural disaster, assessment of damages and take measures to repair the incurred damages on agricultural farms.
