Farmers meet with Dedić, appeal to cantons to follow FBiH's example

Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Šemsudin Dedić held a meeting today at the Ministry's headquarters with representatives of federal agricultural associations.

During the meeting, the realization of incentive funds for production so far, measures to support rural development, and other types of support, including support for autumn sowing from the Program of monetary support for agriculture and rural development this year, were presented.

As stated by the representatives of agricultural associations, farmers are satisfied with the adopted Program, as well as with the regularity of payments of monetary support in agriculture.

From this meeting, cantonal ministries responsible for agriculture were called upon to expedite the submission of applications for milk production for the second quarter for payment, for which operational funds have already been secured in the FBiH Budget. Also, cantonal governments, to which the Government of the Federation of BiH has allocated 200 million KM in financial assistance to budgets, were invited to provide additional support to agricultural producers for autumn sowing, it was announced from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
