Political Games: SDA Legal Experts Offer Solution for Mostar Contrary to Constitutional Court Ruling

SDA presented its solution for Mostar last night, which includes the organization of two zones in Mostar with all the prerogatives and competences of municipalities. One would be predominantly Bosniak and the other Croatian, reports the Patria news agency.  

This solution would be specified by a special Law on the City of Mostar, which would be adopted at the federal or cantonal level.

What shocked the public is that after five years of seeking a solution, the SDA legal team offered a solution that contradicts the ruling of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the part concerning the unequal value of votes in electoral units in the City of Mostar.

According to the SDA proposal, the South electoral unit with 7,700 voters would give five councilors to the City Council, while the Southwest electoral unit with 30,400 voters would give only seven councilors. The ratio of councilors to voters in the South is 1:1,540, and in the Southwest 1:4,340?!

It is now completely clear that SDA is deceiving the public and that the offered "solution" aims to prevent elections from being held in Mostar this year as well, allowing HDZ and SDA to continue their rule over Mostar, each party in "its" part of the city, spending 60 million marks of budget money annually and managing their own backyard.
