Police Institutions Informed About the Situation in Pazarić in July 2019

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy announced today that it is aware that the Director of the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth Pazarić, Redžep Salić, with the prior consent of the Institute's Management Board from July 3, 2019, informed the competent institutions (FUP, SIPA, Prosecutor's Office of BiH) about indications of certain irregularities related to construction works at three locations within the Institute, and that he expects all institutions to act in accordance with their authorities.

Furthermore, the relevant ministry, in accordance with its responsibilities, has formed a commission to determine the events related to all capital investments in the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth - Pazarić from 2009 to 2018. Additionally, as soon as the Federal Ministry receives the Conclusions of the House of Representatives, it will proceed with their implementation and take all necessary measures to ensure the protection and safety of persons with disabilities residing in the Institute, as well as in other institutions of social protection of federal importance.
