Police operation in CS and TK: Six persons arrested for extortion

(Patria) - Police officers of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) today, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, conducted an operational action "OMBRA" in the area of Sarajevo Canton and Tuzla Canton, related to documenting persons suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Extortion".



As part of the aforementioned activities, six persons were arrested with initials B.Z. (1957), A.A. (1978), S.M. (1968), M.H. (1968), on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Extortion" under Article 295, paragraph 2 in conjunction with paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 28 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and S.Z. (1979) and one minor on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Extortion" under Article 295, paragraph 2 in conjunction with paragraph 1, in conjunction with Articles 28 and 33 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Acting on a warrant from the competent court, searches were conducted of premises used by the suspects, and money (approximately 50,000 BAM) in various denominations, firearms, ammunition, batons, brass knuckles, and other items that may be linked to the commission of the said criminal offense were found and seized.

These persons are suspected of having attempted to extort money from the injured party in the past period, by demanding, through serious threats, that they hand over money in the amount of 150,000 BAM or transfer ownership rights over his property.



The aforementioned persons were criminally processed in the official premises of the FUP and will be handed over to the competent Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton within the legal deadline, along with a Report on the committed criminal offense.
