Man who killed a 37-year-old in Banja Luka surrenders to police

(Patria) - In the parking lot of a sports equipment store, on Karađorđeva Street, in Banja Luka today around 12:15 PM, a murder was committed with a firearm - a rifle, against S.Č. born in 1988, from Banja Luka, the District Public Prosecutor's Office announced.

There are grounds for suspicion that the mentioned criminal offense was committed by Đ.Ј. born in 1977, from Banja Luka.

- An investigation at the scene was conducted by the duty prosecutor of the Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor's Office, along with police officers from the Police Administration. The prosecutor ordered that all necessary investigative actions and measures, as well as expert examinations, be taken to clarify all circumstances of the committed criminal offense - the OJT stated.

They said that traces were collected from the scene which will be used for the purposes of the criminal proceedings, and an autopsy of the deceased was also ordered, which will be performed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Republika Srpska.

After committing the criminal offense, the suspect Đ.Ј. surrendered to police officers of the Banja Luka Police Administration, where he was deprived of his liberty and is undergoing criminal processing. After criminal processing, the suspect will be taken to the Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings.

An investigation into the committed murder is ongoing.
