Police investigating FK Crvena Zvezda and Partizan over match-fixing

Serbian Minister of Police Nebojša Stefanović said that the Criminal Police Directorate has launched an investigation not only into FK Crvena Zvezda, but also into several other Superliga clubs, reports the Patria news agency.

"We have also entered Partizan, OFK Beograd, Čukarički, the Superliga Association, the Football Association of Serbia, and we are checking several criminal reports, i.e., suspicions that several matches were played irregularly. I hope that some of these investigations will unmask certain things, and we do not want to engage in speculation. The police will do their job professionally and, together with the prosecutor's office, we will provide the results of the investigation," Stefanović said in Vrnjačka Banja, as reported by Blic.
