Police identified the murdered young man in Montenegro

(Patria) - Police have identified the Podgorica resident who was murdered and then burned in the village of Šteke, on the outskirts of Podgorica towards Cetinje, several sources from the security institution said.

Reportedly, it is a twenty-three-year-old young man who was associated with the Škaljari criminal clan.

According to unofficial information, he was identified by family members late last night.

The Police Directorate has not officially commented since the partially charred body was found in Šteke.

His body was noticed yesterday morning by a local resident who was visiting his property and informed the police about it.

Inspectors found a horrific scene at the location - in a thicket, next to a blind dirt road, about 200 meters from the main village road, there was a partially charred body, and next to the corpse, several shell casings.

"The head and chest of the victim were burned. Large tattoos are visible on the arms and legs," they say.

It is explained that traces were collected from the scene, which will be analyzed at the Forensic Center in Danilovgrad.
