Investigators have raided Google's headquarters in Paris and are currently searching the company's offices. According to the BBC, the company is suspected of tax evasion of 1.6 billion euros, reports the news agency Patria.
A source close to the French Ministry of Finance confirmed this information, writes Reuters.
"A raid is underway," the source told French Le Parisien, which reports that over 100 police officers are involved in the operation.
Google has not yet officially commented on the operation.
