Police arrested a man from Bijeljina who stole 80,000 KM from 14 houses in TK

(Patria) - Tuzla police today arrested a man from Bijeljina, identified as S.S., for multiple thefts committed in the wider area of Tuzla Canton.

Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs TK Police Administration, Criminal Police Sector, General Crime Unit, today, under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office, with the assistance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs RS, Bijeljina Police Department, due to grounds for suspicion that in the period from 2020 to 2022, he committed the prolonged criminal offense of "Aggravated Theft" under Article 287, Paragraph 1, Point a of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 55 of the same Law (which he committed in the wider area of TK), deprived of liberty a person identified as S.S. from Bijeljina.

The arrest followed a series of investigative actions, and within planned activities to prevent and detect serious property crimes, announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs TK.

The arrested suspect is suspected of having, in the aforementioned period, with the aim of obtaining unlawful property gain, used physical force and suitable tools to access secured family residences in the TK area, illegally entering them.

From there, as stated, he appropriated cash, jewelry, weapons, and other valuable movable property for himself, thereby causing property damage exceeding 80,000 KM to a total of 14 victims.

S.S., along with the Report on the committed criminal offense and evidence, was handed over to the jurisdiction of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office today.
