Police seized an unlicensed pistol during a Mercedes check and detained one person

(Patria) - On 01/26/2023 at 03:30 AM in Hamdije Kreševićakovića Street, municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, police officers of the Stari Grad Sarajevo Police Department stopped and checked a passenger motor vehicle of the brand “Mercedes” in which the following persons were present: A.B., A.D., and I.Lj., all residing in Sarajevo.

During the search, a pistol caliber 7.65 mm and five bullets of the same caliber were found on I.Lj. and seized with a duly issued receipt, for which he does not possess a permit from the competent authority.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed a criminal offense under Article 74. ZONDINOM-a of Sarajevo Canton, he was deprived of his liberty and handed over to the detention facilities for persons deprived of liberty of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. After the completion of the criminal investigation, I.Lj. was handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton with a report on the committed criminal offense.
