Police searching for attacker who shot man in the leg

SARAJevo, (Patria) - A man, S.G., was wounded yesterday afternoon in a shooting that occurred in the Grbavica neighborhood. He came to the Emergency Medical Aid Institute himself, where he was diagnosed with a leg injury caused by a firearm.

"At the premises of the Public Institution 'General Hospital Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš' in Sarajevo, the on-duty doctor determined serious bodily injuries, consisting of a gunshot wound to the groin area of the left leg, and that the injured person is not life-threatening, he was kept for observation in the hospital," the police report states.

The on-duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office was informed, and with their approval, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton conducted an investigation due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of grievous bodily harm had been committed.

Police officers are undertaking the necessary measures and actions to shed light on the mentioned criminal offense and to find the perpetrator, whose identity is known to the police officers.
