A new mural with the image of Ratko Mladić has been painted in Banja Luka, in the city center, across from the City Stadium and not far from the RS Government building.

"Unification has begun and it can no longer be stopped," wrote the anonymous author next to Mladić's portrait.

Although this is a place that the police often monitor, it would have been difficult for the mural's author to remain anonymous. Clearly, the police in RS support street art that spreads hatred, all in line with the public promotion of secessionism openly advocated by SNSD president Milorad Dodik.

The graffiti from Prijedor also did not provoke any reaction from the RS authorities. True, it took considerably less time because it was devoid of any artistic expression. The message from Prijedor takes us all back to the nineties.

“A young balija runs across the field, I catch him and then I slaughter him,” was written on the graffiti, which was later removed by municipal services.

The mural of Minister of Police Aleksandar Vulin, which appeared in Banja Luka, was also painted over. It had the same text as the mural of Ratko Mladić.

Regardless of the comments that one must be very pathetic to draw Vulin's mural in their city, it is clear that nationalist street art that fits into the secessionist folklore of the authorities is approved in RS.
