Police detain four individuals over new attack on ef. Beganović

Police have detained four individuals suspected of being connected to the fourth attack on Selvedin ef. Beganović, the imam of the Trnovi congregation in Velika Kladuša, reports the news agency Patria.

An unknown masked attacker stabbed ef. Beganović in the back yesterday in front of the imam's house, after which he was transported to the Velika Kladuša Health Center. On that occasion, he sustained injuries to his chest, shoulder blade, and arm.

Ef. Beganović came into the public spotlight after an open letter to Bilal Bosnić, the informal leader of the Wahhabi movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is currently on trial at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In that letter, he criticized the practice of recruiting and sending youth from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Syrian battlefield.
