Police find over five kilograms of drugs and weapons in searches in Zenica-Doboj Canton, 15 people arrested

(Patria) - Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton, in cooperation and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton, have been carrying out an operational action codenamed META V aimed at arresting individuals suspected of committing criminal offenses related to the abuse of narcotic drugs.

As a continuation of this operational action, police teams early this morning began simultaneous searches at fifteen locations in Tešanj, Maglaj, Usora, and one location in the Teslić area.

At the locations where the searches were conducted, 15 individuals were apprehended and arrested. These individuals are: K.H., born in 1980, from Tešanj; K.Š., born in 1995, from Maglaj; R.F., born in 1991, from Usora; A.A., born in 1985, from Tešanj; P.S., born in 1989, from Tešanj; K.E., born in 1982, from Tešanj; O.I., born in 1998, from Maglaj; E.S., born in 1958, from Maglaj; O.N., born in 1990, from Tešanj; R.M., born in 1992, from Tešanj; P.R., born in 1996, from Doboj; K.M., born in 1997, from Tešanj; K.M., born in 1981, from Tešanj; Z.Z., born in 1993, from Maglaj, and K.E., born in 2000, from Tešanj.

The targets of the action also included two other individuals who are already in custody, as they were deprived of their liberty in this action in the previous period. These individuals are: Š.E., born in 1983, from Tešanj, and B.D., born in 1981, from Teslić.

During searches conducted in the previous period, more than nine kilograms of narcotic drugs, two hand grenades, two pistols with ammunition, and five digital scales for precise measurement were found with them.

This successful operation is the result of coordinated activities undertaken in cooperation and with the support of the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, and cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.

During the searches, the following were found and seized: 1 kg of a substance resembling the narcotic drug "Speed", 4 kg of a substance resembling the narcotic drug "Marijuana", 8 grams of a substance resembling the narcotic drug "Cocaine", 6 digital scales for precise measurement, 5 pistols, one rifle, a certain amount of ammunition, cash in the amount of 10,950.00 KM, 12 mobile phones, as well as other items that will be used as evidence in further proceedings.

The individuals deprived of their liberty are currently being transported to the official premises of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton, where criminal processing will be carried out. Afterwards, along with a report on the committed criminal offense and the identification of perpetrators, they will be handed over to the jurisdiction and further proceedings of the Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed the criminal offenses of: "Association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses", "Illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials", and the criminal offense from Article 52 of the Law on the Acquisition, Possession, and Carrying of Weapons and Ammunition of Zenica-Doboj Canton, announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton.
