Police seize car from 28-year-old, he had driving ban and 20,000 BAM in unpaid fines

(Patria) - Sarajevo police temporarily seized a car driven by a 28-year-old during a driving ban.

"On 16.11.2023 at 00:05 in Miševići street, Hadžići municipality, police officers of the Hadžići and Trnovo Police Stations controlled a passenger motor vehicle 'Audi A3', owned by S.Č., and driven by E.Z., born in 1995, residing in Hadžići. Checks revealed that the named person was driving the vehicle during an imposed protective measure of a ban, and in the register of monetary fines and misdemeanor records, he has a debt for unpaid fines amounting to 19,940.00 BAM, and that he is a repeat offender for traffic violations.

The vehicle in question was temporarily seized from the 28-year-old and deposited at the Deposit for Temporarily Seized Vehicles in Reljevo. A request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the committed offense from the area of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo," the police announced.
