Police check bomb threats at multiple locations in Zagreb

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A bomb threat was sent via email today to five locations in Zagreb.

These locations, according to the email signed "Strelkov and Limonov's Army", include the airport, two police stations, and two McDonald's restaurants.

The Zagreb Police Department issued a statement after checking three locations. They stated that nothing suspicious was found at these locations and that they are still checking two other locations mentioned in the threatening email.

"Today, October 20, in the afternoon hours, the police received an email message about a possible explosive device placed at five locations in the City of Zagreb, two of which are catering establishments, two facilities used by the police, and one location providing air transport services.

We hereby remind you of social responsibility and self-protective behavior and call on citizens to, in case of noticing anything suspicious that could be related to the aforementioned, contact the police with full confidence and act according to the instructions of police officers at the scene.

So far, police officers have inspected three locations; one location with a catering establishment, one facility used by the police, and a location providing air transport services, and it has been confirmed that the received threat is not true, while inspections are underway at two more locations," the police announced.

What the threatening email states

The email, sent to several media outlets, including Index, mentions revenge for "Nazi butchers from Azov, crimes of the Black Legion, Jasenovac, the Devil's Brigade that fought in Stalingrad, and crimes during Operation Storm."

The threat also mentions Putin and states: "Death to the EU, death to NATO, death to Nazis."

"No need for panic"

The police previously told Index that they were aware of the email and were acting as they normally would in such cases.
