Police had to restore order at the Federal Ministry of Labour

Sarajevo police intervened on Friday morning at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, after one of the employees caused an incident, confirmed sources of the Patria news agency from this ministry.

Emergency medical services also intervened, as two female employees felt unwell.

According to witness statements, ministry official Benjamin Mešak threatened and insulted his colleagues, who then called the police and an ambulance.

- We don't know why Mešak acted like that. He just entered the office, started shouting and banging his fist on the door. He said his colleagues would remember him. It all looked so terrible. People were scared. We assume Mešak acted that way because some employees have been pointing out irregularities in the ministry for some time, and Mešak is also accused of illegal activities – said one of the witnesses of the incident to the Patria agency.

Benjamin Mešak did not want to talk much about this case. He calmly told a Patria reporter that no incident, at least not a major one, happened at the Ministry today.

- The police took a report. Let the responsible persons assess who is to blame in the whole case – said Mešak.

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has been shaken by scandals for several years. Sources claim that interpersonal relationships in the Ministry are strained. The Ministry manages over 300 million KM annually, and more than 500,000 beneficiaries depend on its work, mostly pensioners, socially vulnerable individuals, people with special needs..., writes NAP.
