Police ask citizens to refrain from commenting on the case of the imam's car burning in Kiseljak

Collected evidence does not indicate an inter-ethnic incident in the case of the burning of Imam Mustafa ef. Pašić's car in the village of Duhri near Kiseljak, announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central Bosnia Canton (MUP SBK).

All found and collected traces at the scene of the event, the police claim, have been sent for forensic examination to establish facts that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the perpetrators, and to shed light on this criminal offense.

Constant checks and analysis of collected information are being carried out, and alibis for several individuals who could be linked to the burning of the vehicle in question have been established, and planned activities regarding this criminal offense are being intensively continued in several directions.

The MUP SBK asks citizens, if they have any information about this event, to contact the nearest police station or call 122. Citizens are urged to refrain from any comments and statements that could negatively affect the investigation, as well as lead to the complication of the current security situation.

An unknown person set fire to the car of Imam Mustafa ef. Pašić from the village of Duhri in Kiseljak.

The car was set on fire at midnight, while the vehicle was parked in the garage beneath the apartment where the imam's children were sleeping. The imam's quick reaction prevented a greater catastrophe.
