Police seize documentation, suspect illegal exploitation of ores from Tuzla-kvarc

Tuzla police today seized documentation, official telephones, and several vehicles from the company Tuzla-kvarc in Tuzla, on suspicion that the company illegally exploited quartz sand from a mine in the Bukinje area, thereby damaging the budget of Tuzla Canton by more than 200,000 KM, Patria reports.

There was a concession agreement between Tuzla-kvarc and the Ministry of Industry of Tuzla Canton several years ago, but the company never fulfilled all obligations under the agreement. That agreement expired in 2010, but the company Tuzla-kvarc continued with the exploitation of quartz sand.

A criminal proceeding related to this case is already underway before the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, NAP reports.
