(Patria) - Bijeljina Police officers yesterday questioned minor Aleksandar Đokić who spread religious and national intolerance on social media, harassed Bosniak returnees, and insulted them.
Videos in which he stated he was armed and insulted Bosniaks went viral yesterday, after which the police reacted.
The Bijeljina Ministry of Internal Affairs points out that the person who made threats on social media has been identified and is a minor.
“Police officers of the Bijeljina Police Department identified a minor from Bijeljina who they observed insulting citizens of Bosniak nationality via the TikTok social network,” they stated.
The young man was questioned and subsequently released, given that he is a minor.
“A Report on the measures and actions taken has been submitted to the District Public Prosecutor's Office for prosecutorial assessment and further proceedings. Proceedings against the minor were conducted in accordance with the Law on Protection and Treatment of Children and Minors in Criminal Proceedings,” stated the Bijeljina Police Department.
