Police identify person who wounded a man in Malta, search underway

Sarajevo police have identified the man who wounded a 28-year-old today after 4 PM in the Malta neighborhood, confirmed MUP KS spokesperson Irfan Nefić.

He said that the police are on the trail of the person who most likely wounded the man during the shooting that occurred in a parking lot in the Malta neighborhood.

The man was wounded in the legs and arm. He was rushed to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, where he is receiving medical assistance. The motives that led to the use of firearms are still unknown to the police.

This is just one in a series of armed clashes on the streets of Sarajevo in the past few days. At the beginning of February this year, a young man, Adnan Salčin, was killed in the Mojmilo neighborhood in Sarajevo, NAP reports.
