Police will control picnic areas and compliance with ban measures during the holidays

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Mirza Hadžiabdić from the Public Relations Department of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS reminded today of the ban measures for citizens that are in force as well as those adopted for the upcoming holiday. He stated that gatherings of more than 5 people in one place are prohibited. Movement between 10 PM and 5 AM on May 1, 2, and 3 is prohibited.

"Police officers of the Police Administration will undertake intensified activities to control compliance with all orders in order to contribute to preventing the spread of the virus. Police activities will be intensified on roads, squares, as well as at picnic areas in KS. We appeal to citizens to adhere to the ordered civil protection measures and the orders of police officers," said Hadžiabdić.

In the last 24 hours, 53 people were sanctioned for violating the order on mandatory social distancing and not using masks or other appropriate items. The use of protective equipment is mandatory and controls will continue to be carried out.

Regarding the verification of compliance with home isolation, the measure was violated in 4 cases, about which the competent inspection authorities were informed. One person was placed in forced isolation at the Student Dormitory in Bjelave.
