Attempted kidnapping in Ilidža: Four arrested, two still sought

(Patria) - Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Sarajevo Canton (KS) arrested four people this evening, while searching for two more in connection with the attempted kidnapping of a foreign national.

Sarajevo police managed to free a Syrian national who was kidnapped this afternoon. The motive for his kidnapping is currently unknown.

According to unofficial information, the police are searching for two kidnappers who have not yet been arrested in the area of the Ilidža picnic spot Stojčevac.

A significant presence of MUP KS members, armed with long firearms, was visible in the Ilidža area in the evening hours.

The kidnappers are reportedly Ukrainian nationals. Sarajevo police will release official information about the entire operation in the morning.
